I am not ready for the beach

Hello beauties!

Winter is finally over and I just spent the last few months hibernating, stuffing my face with food and binge watching 17 different shows on Netflix. Well, now it’s April and you all must be thinking the same thing I am right now… I AM NOT READY FOR THE BEACH!!!

I’ve been experimenting with low carb meals, more fruits and veggies, and more water the last few weeks, but that won’t be enough. My biggest issue is heading to the gym. I’m pretty sure I paid Planet Fitness $20/month for two years so I could stay at home to NOT workout.

Finding the motivation to go to the gym can be really difficult and picking up some dollar-menu items at McDonald’s is so much easier than cooking a whole meal. If you’re like me and don’t enjoy feeling like Jabba the Hut after some fast food, try practicing these quick workouts to help you get SOME exercise in your day:

  • 2 sets of 25 sumo squats
  • 2 sets of 50 ab bikes
  • 2 sets of 20 side lunges (2 sets per leg)
  • 2 sets of 20 fire hydrants (2 sets per leg)

Just a quick disclaimer: I definitely do not do this myself, BUT I’m going to challenge myself to these daily. I’m challenging you to do some at home workouts too. Hello beauties!

My name is Kali and I’d like to welcome you to my blog, The Blair Bitch. Here you’ll be able to keep up with my interests, thoughts, and personal opinions. If you’re here for the makeup swatches and food pictures that’s fine too (I totally get that).

So, you’d like to know a little more about me? Well, you’ve come to the right place. To start, my name is pronounced ‘Kay-lee’. I am currently 25 years old and reside in Salem, Massachusetts. I work in the world of Information Technology, but wanted to share my hobbies and interests in makeup and food with everyone here. Along the way I will share some stories about my battles with type one diabetes, dieting, weight loss, etc. I hope that sharing some of these stories will open a space for readers to share stories and give/receive advice and support.

Now, for the fun stuff! I LOVE MAKEUP AND FASHION. I’m in no way on par with those top of the line looks that talented MUA’s post on Instagram, but I’m here to learn and share with you guys! I’ll mostly be posting fun and cute swatches of products that I personally love and sharing my own makeup looks (when they come out nice enough). I’ll also be posting nail art and will occasionally post an Outfit of the Day (OOTD) with links and promotional codes available through each company.

My main goal is to help you help me open a space where readers can also share their stories and makeup/nail/outfit looks on a more small scale level. We’ve all got to start somewhere, right?
