I’ve been back from my trip to Seattle, WA for a few days now and I don’t think anything will ever be able to top this vacation. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with my friends and loved ones in such a beautiful city. Thankfully, the weather was perfect – we got clear skies and temperatures 70 and above for our entire stay. It felt like summer and made me so excited for the next few months.
Here are some highlights from the Emerald City:
These pictures feature our trips to the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), the Seattle Aquarium, the Gum Wall, Top Pot Doughnuts, Ivar’s, Washington Park Arboretum, and the Seattle Japanese Garden.
Some other places we visited during our stay were the Pike Place Market, where you can buy fresh fruits, fish, and pastries; Nacho Borracho, which has the best tacos and frozen margaritas (on tap!!!!!!); Blue Moon Burgers, some of the greatest buildable burgers (vegetarian options available); and Optimism Brewing Company, which offers amazing beers, food trucks, and games.
My favorite part of our trip was during our first day. After a long day of traveling from Boston to Seattle, making our way through museums and food, we stopped at Kerry Park for some classic Seattle skyline pictures… to my surprise, I got a little more than pictures that day. WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!
So, for those of you that don’t know, I have been dating Tad since 2010. We’ve always talked about marriage, so when he asked for my ring size a few months ago I didn’t think anything of it. He’d asked so many times before, so I just thought he was asking for later in the future or whatever. Little did I know, he’d be popping the question on our trip to Seattle! With a beautiful view in our background, my best friend asked me to marry him.
This was the best vacation ever. Get ready for wedding planning everyone!
